Illustration Friday- I spy
I actually had time 2 weeks in a row to do some artwork for IF! This is acrylic on illustration board. I really appreciate anyone who leaves comments as I am attempting to get work in children's illustrating and I would love feedback.

Hey, Kelly! I'm not working professionally so take what I say with a grain of salt - I don't like to make criticisms because I don't want to discourage any artist in any way - I think praise for what you like works better. But since you asked... First off, you have an excellent personal style already (something I'm still working on) and a good eye for shapes and color. Nice composition and subject matter. If I can make one complaint it's that either the buny is too flat or the fox is too angled. I can see the dimensions of the fox. Either one works on it's own in it's own style but together they clash. I'd darken the side of the bunny that faces away from the hole. But like I said, I'm not a pro. Otherwise, everything is fantastic! I love that they're both smiling, like the fox is clever but the bunny knows he's safe. Great work!
i like the composition too, and the tension in the your painting .i think what's missing is more realistic lighting as i can't really see where the light source is. if the light is coming through the hole then it needs to be a lot more dramatic, which will give more volume to your creatures
