Rejection - Illustration Friday

Food Rejection - something I assume all parents know. When you hear yourself say things like "but you LIKE tomatoes!" My 5yr old said there should be tomatoes and beans on the plate. This was the first thing I thought of when I saw the topic as it had just happened the night before when I made stir-fry and the 3yr old wailed "Noodles! I want some NOODLES!" Hmmmm, I think I would like to borrow Mike R. Baker's "rejection seat" - right up to their rooms! (or to grandma's house)
This is colored pencil and gouache on watercolor paper - still fooling around with different paints and stuff.

HA! I totally didn't expect the mention here! :)

Super cute and wonderful! I love that little bear's expression. :) And if he wants my lima beans I'll trade for the tomatoes. ;)

I know, it's bafflling, isn't it? Something that was once a favorite can be rejected--no rhyme or reason to it.

I had a similar idea for this topic - but you did a MUCH better job than I did with the expression. Way to go!
