This is colored pencil on black paper. The scanning made it look weird, so maybe I'll have to fix it, but hopefully you get the idea of what it really looks like.
I put some work in a community art show that runs Aug 6-Oct25th at the Hemphill Library in Greensboro, NC. Just an opportunity for my stuff to be seen.

Oh, "waresquirrels"...I know them well! That's what happens when you feed normal squirrels too much - they become little monsters!
Cute drawing!
LOL! A delightful drawing. I love the wide-eyed look of the squirrel on the tree.
Very nice and funny. Colored pencils on the black paper is perfect technology for this IF topic!
Good luck at your show! I bet it will be fun. I love the moon light on everything in this piece!
too funny...the black paper is a great choice for this but i especially like how that strawberry is like "singing" with red. it reeaallly pops! :)
btw...if you have psd, you can clean up the yucky stuff your scanner does by bumping up the contrast (use your orig piece as a guide) just a smidge. hope that helps! :)
Ha ha! Too cute. Love the eyes
Cute illo! Those squirrels are too cute...I might stay away from the one with the strawberry! :) Great work!
Great illustration! It is hard finding time to draw and paint, with kids! I have a toddler and a job too, it is a challenge! Every piece we finish is a triumph!!
I love the glow of the moon in this piece. Nice job!
so funny, great expressions~!
Oh my gosh! I love this. You made me laugh out loud . Now I am going to be on the lookout for one of these guys. Does this explain why some squirrels are just so nutty?
Very cute idea, we have a few of those guys in our yard:)
nicely done illo. like ur line work on walter and his friends fur coats. so ur from greensboro, i show some of my art work up there too
Great squirrels--the color pencil on black paper works perfectly to convey the bright moon and the scary atmosphere. A squirrel once jumped out of a trash can near a park bench where I was sitting and I swear the little guy looked just like the one eating the strawberry! :-)
Good luck on your show!
I love the squirrels! They are so cute looking. Great illo, Kelly!
oooh Walter... you're just to cute to be scared to... :D!! I love the technique, gotto try it sometimes :D
Great night image! (I love night scenes!)
Hey, good luck on the show. I like the effect of pencil on black paper. It really pops out.
