Emergency - Illustration Friday

Global Emergency
Just a quick little painting this week. Last week ("missing" which I didn't have time to do) and this week all the ideas I had were so painful to think about - I liked the more fun ideas that others had on the topics.
Did not have a lot of time this week, so I painted a simple idea that I had after reading an article about how few tigers there are left in the wild; there was a recent survey done in India showing there are likely fewer than they thought.
Gouache on arches paper.

What a great concept! I would have never thought of that. It's so unique for this topic.

I love this one Kelly. I was going to do the earth with band-aids or something. Then I thought of a St. Bernard with a brandy keg, and then I ran out of time and posted a soul collage (as you know.) I don't think folks like that stuff from me. They want my usual warm and fuzzy stuff :) Anyway, nice post. Awesome!

Nicely done, Kelly. Poignant and sweetly drawn. :)

Great illo Kelly. I think we artists work hard to develop our craft because we have something that really really needs to be said. And you have proved that point.

Lovely illo! I like everything about this (especially that tiger :) which is my school's mascot where I teach). Great work and great message.
