Ugly Duckling part 1After receiving wonderful critiques on this painting, I made some modifications and I hope it is better (not worse! Click here to compare ) It is still difficult to see the details and it is still a little blurry when enlarged as it is a digital photo. I will have it scanned soon, then it will be on my new website (hopefully up soon!)
THANK YOU sooooo much for the wonderful people who made comments! I need to find a local critique group, but until then (and even after) you all are invaluable!

Kelly, I think they are both wonderful and really show how talented you are. On the first one I see you changed the duckling's expression and added some touches of blues for shadowing, very nice.
The second painting is my favorite too, something about the way you have the duckling cornered, his expression and body language, and the whole composition, it's just perfect. You should be proud, these are top notch works of art! Looking forward to the their piece in the series!
