Thumbelina by Hans Christian AndersenSince I will not have time to complete this by deadline tonight (LOST is on TV!) I am posting this work-in-progress. From the story of Thumbelina (or Thumbykin as she is referred to in my copy) when the swallow takes her to live in a garden. Obviously I have a lot of detail left to do - and I will post the final when completed, hopefully by Monday. The original is 6"x9" in gouache.

This is a lovely watercolor. I love Thimbleena on the blue bird over a field of flowers.
I love the colors, Kelly. Such a beautiful composition too, I can't wait to see the final piece. You do wonders with gouache, and that's not an easy medium.
